What’s the best way to get the most out of your astrologer?  By doing the work.  By taking the decision to get the most out of your life.

What do I mean by that?  Just this: to me, the biggest difference between an astrological consultation and a psychic reading is the client’s participation—in the session, and in his or her life.

A psychic “reads” a client and reports back: the client doesn’t even have to be there!  But advice is given on the strength of what the psychic perceives; and the client can take or leave it—the reading is complete as it stands.

An astrologer reads the chart, and discusses it with the client—with reference to a map they both can see.  And the client may argue with what the astrologer describes—mine certainly do!—but together they arrive at consensus, with a clear sense of timelines, as to how the client could proceed.  It is not a solution, but a process that is suggested, an exploration based both on the birth chart and the current planetary transits.  The client is an active participant.

A consultation requires both parties present and all cylinders clicking.  There is an expectation that the client will take away this mutual understanding and work with it in his own way, in his own time, and make his own decisions.  One gets what one puts into it.

If life presents us with lessons, a reading is at best a study guide.  But an astro-consultation is a tutorial.
