A day late and a dollar short, runs the old saying.  A friend of mine used to say, “There are only twenty-four hours in a day.”   Well, I ran out of them, yesterday:  Blog Tuesday appears this week on Blog Wednesday—the day before Mercury Retrograde ends.

But I got to thinking—for me, this week, this timing is perfect: it is the right time, partly because I am human, and yesterday manifestly WASN’T.  But more than that—THIS MOMENT is perfect.

At any given moment, SOMEONE is born; and that moment encapsulates the energy of an entire life.  So every moment, in essence, is perfect…

W.H. Auden once wrote, in one of my favourite poems, “A Walk After Dark”:

“Occurring this very night
By no established rule,
Some event may already have hurled
Its first little No at the right
Of the laws we accept to school
Our post-diluvian world..”

So perhaps that SOMEONE will save us all.  It’s worth contemplating.

Perfect timing.
